TAURANGA MATCHES From Our Oxen Correspondent TAURANGA, Friday. Hockey cup competitions were continued on Wednesday afternoon, the weather conditions being ideal. In the Innis Cup, True Blues beat United by six goals to one. For United, Allely, Leslie, Curtis, Tonkin and Casting played a good game, while Olsen, Playfair. C. Hand and Olsen did good service for True Blues. Rovers v. Country was another keenly contested men’s game, Rovers winning by two goals to nil. Moore and R- Carter did the scoring. ,In the Harris Cup women’s match. Triers v. Gild Diggers, the game was in tho Triers’ favour throughout and ended, Triers 5. Gold Diggers 0. High School v. Aretas proved a keenly contested game. It resulted: Aretas 3, High School 3. Scores were registered for Aretas by Misses M. Rowe. C. Merriman and G. Brown, and for High School by Miss X. Jones.
