TE AROHA TOPICS

A PROMISING TWO-YEAR-OLD Special to THE SVH TE AEOHA, Friday. Trainer R. Loder Wallace should have White Ringlet in the right racing condition for her next engagements and may soon have Bahama ready to carry the colours. Black Mai re is in active work again and looks like standing up to it satisfactorily. Indolent, in the same stable, has thickened out perceptibly. This fact is all the more noticeable as up to a couple of months ago he was one of the very lean kind. However, perseverance may have its reward, for the son of General Latour is now more robust in appearance. Miss Albyn, the sister to Woody Glen, is looking better now than at any time previously since being trained. She has thickened out a lot and is working very solidly. So far she has not shown to advantage in her racing efforts, but is apparently improving with age. Several breeders in this district are speaking in terms of praise of their Musketoon juveniles, which are exceptionally weel grown and very sturdily built. This time next year some of the most promising will be handled, and a little later put into work. In J. IT. Wallace's team one that is showing improvement is the Lucullus —Miss Floss two-year-old gelding. He is as well grown and has furnished as well as many three-year-olds, and next season should be one of the shining lights of the stable, which in the past has generally succeeded in landing its share of winning performers.
