AUCKLAND’S HEALTH GOOD

SCARLET FEVER DECLINING The health of people in the Auckland district is better at present than it has been for some years at this period of the year, according to Dr. J. Boyd, of the Health Department. Practically the only disease of any proijortious in the province is scarlet fever, which, however, reached its peak two months ago and is now showing a gradual deeline. The cases are widespread, mostly in the country districts and the reason for its maintaining a fair level lies in its mildness, which makes it particularly difficult to detect until almost at the peeling stage.
