AUCKLAND BOXING
LECKIE TO FIGHT SHACK BOUT ON JUNE 3 Efforts to arrange a match between Donovan and Sarron having proved fruitless, the Northern Boxing Association has arranged a bout for June 3 between Johnny Leckie, feather-weight champion of New Zealand, and Sammy Shack, the American feather-weight. A prior engagement prevented Donovan from accepting the fight in Auckland and Sarron’s terms were prohibitive. Therefore the association at onco got in touch with Leckie, who immediately accepted. Shack signed the articles yesterday and they have been sent on to Leckie..
