A SCHEME PROPOSED BY MR. A. E. FORD, manager of the Auckland Transport Board, for a tram route along Albert Street to relieve traffic congestion in Queen Street, is now under consideration by the board. The main suburbs to be served by this diversion will be Ponsonby, Grey Lynn and Point Chevalier. There is also a possibility of the new tracks being utilised for a special service of trams to and from the new railway station.
