THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL

CIVIC AT HOME PLANNED TOWN HALL FUNCTION His Worship the Mayor and the councillors of Auckland City will give a civic: “At Home” in the Town Hall on Wednesday evening- in honour of the Governor-General, Lord Bledisloe, and Lady Bledisloe. The Town Clerk, Mr. J. S. Brigham, said today that the council had issued invitations taxing the capacity of the hall. Arrangements were being made to decorate the hall in a manner befitting the occasion. Palms, bamboos and flowers from the City nurseries would be used in an artistic scheme, a feature of which would be pretty lighting effects.
