OCCUPANTS NOT SERIOUSLY INJURED SMASH IN SOUTHLAND Press Association GORE, Today. The two occupants ot a milk delivery van miraculously escaped serious injury as the result of a crossing collision with au Invereargill-Clinton goods train, near Mataura this morning. The van was carried for 20 yards and smashed almost to pieces. William Given, a young man, received injuries to his head and back and was taken to the Gore Hospital. R. Kilpatrick, of Charlton, received cuts to his face, hip and scalp, but was able to go home.
