FORMAL REAFFIRMATION UNDERTAKEN Reed. Noon. RUGBY, Tuesday. It is officially stated that oil the accession to the Afghan Throne of King Muhammed Nadir Shah, both the Afghan Government and tile British Government desired to reaffirm the validity of the Anglo-Afghan Treaty, which was concluded at Kabul on November 22, 1921.

A formal agreement reaffirming the treaty has now been reached, and the British Minister to Afghanistan, who had already arrived in India, is leaving for Kabul forthwith.
