Surrey in the first innings got 447 for eight wickets, declared (Hobbs 66, Sandham 65, Ducat 125, Shepherd 82). Surrey won by an innings and 224 runs.
Nottingham, first innings, made 273 (Whysall 113). Wensley took four for 73. The second innings produced 89 for six wickets. Sussex, first innings, made ISB (Parks S 3). Staples took six for SS. Nottingham won on the first innings. Northants, first innings, got 152. Tyldesley took four for 36. The second innings produced 164. Hopwood took five for 40. Tyldesley foru for 49. Lancashire, first innings, 337 for six wickets, declared (Iddon 93, Eckersiey not out 69, Hopwood 62). Lancashire won by an innings and 21 runs. Kent, first innings, made 133. Peebles took six for 68. Oxford, first innings, got 407 (Melv’lle 78, Ford 1 55). The game was drawn. Glamorgan, first innings, made 260. and in the second 120 for one wicket. Warwick, first innings,, got 251 Glamorgan won on the first innings.
