“RAINBOW MAN” AT GRAND
“The Rainbow which will be shown again this evening at the Grand Theatre, is a delightfully amusing story, not without- many poignant scenes, of the life of a travelling minstrel player.
A famous American vaudeville entertainer, Eddie Dowling, appears in the leading role and sings several new songs of which one, “Sleepy Valley,” is already well known. Marion Nixon is the girl in the story, and little Frankie Darro and Sam Hardy have important roles.
A splendid programme of supports is also showh, headed by a Mickey the Mouse cartoon.
“Tho Texan,” Bary Cooper’s latest aJI-talking Paramount Western has been completed at the Hollywood studios. Adapted from O’Henry’s story, “The Double-Dyed Deceiver,” the new talkie has been produced on the same tremendous scale as “The Virginian.” Fay Wray is featured opposite the star, and Emma. Dunna and Oscar Apfel are in the cast.
