LITERARY SOCIETY

PROGRAMME FOR YEAR

Nearly 200 members and friends attended the meeting of the Mount Albert Presbyterian Literary Society last evening, when the 1930 season was opened. A concert was given in the church hall, the Rev. W. D. MorrisonSutherland presiding. It was announced that in August a debate on “The Spread of American Influence in New Zealand” will take place with a team from the Auckland Debating Society. The syllabus for the year includes addresses by the Rev. Mr. Mor-rison-Sutherland, Mr. R. A. Ealla, Mr. A. E. Mulgan, Mrs. E. G. Macky and Miss Elsie Morton.
