The election which was held recently to choose the officers of the New Zealand Workers’ Union for 1930-31, resulted as follows: —National president, Mr. C. E. Baldwin (Christchurch); national vice-presidents. Messrs. J. Townsend (Wanganui) and J. Whyte (Wellington); general secretary, Mr. Arthur Cook (Wellington); delegates to Alliance of Labour conference, 1931. Messrs. D. E. Mackie (Tawa Flat) and J. Townsend (Wanganui); executive council, Messrs. J. Cock (Waimate), J. Donnelly (Masterton), H. C. Munro (Fordell) and J. Thom (Wairoa).

Organisers of agricultural and pastoral department. Messrs. C. E. Baldwin (Christchurch), W. D. Bell (Woodside), D. N. Clarke (Temuka). E. X. Fitzgerald (Timaru), W. L. Gilligan (Hanmer Springs), F. Marsh (Masterton), and R. Tutaki (FernhiJl); organisers of construction department, Messrs. W. Wallace (Napier) and J. B. Williams (Auckland): permanent organiser for South Island. Mr. J. G. Leckie (Timaru): delegates to annual conference, Messrs. J. Cock (Waimate), J G. Leckie (Timaru). W. D. Bell (Woodside), W. McLennan (Seddon). J. Donnelly (Masterton). R. Tutaki (Fernhill), D. O’Rourke (Kotemaori), J. Ryan. (Tawa Flat), .J. B. Williams (Auckland), and J. Little (Waitaki Hydro). A delegate to the annual conference representing Gisborne and the East Coast is yet to be elected.
