TWENTY YEARS KING
BRITISH MONARCH IN GOOD HEALTH CELEBRATION TODAY LONDON, Tuesday. King George will complete his twentieth year on the throne tomorrow. He is in good, though perhaps not robust, health. His Majesty has a full programme ahead, and it is known that he is anxious to resume the full round of Stale and social duties. He chafes somewhat under the strict rule his doctors have imposed upon him. MESSAGE FROM DOMINION The following message has been forwarded to the King by the GovernorGeneral, Lord Bledisloe, on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of his Majesty’s accession to the throne: “The Government and people of New Zealand, with whom I associate myself, rejoice in the opportunity of tendering to your Majesty their respectful congratulations and good wishes on the attainment of the twentieth anniversary of vour Majesty’s accession to the throne, and of expressing their feeling of deep thankfulness for your Majesty’s restoration to health. They pray that your Majesty may long be spared to reign over your people, united in their devotion to the throne.” To mark Accession Day, a Royal salute of 21 guns will be fired at the Devonport naval base at noon today. The warships in port will be dressed with bunting from 8 a.m. until sunset. Flags will be flown on all Government buildings provided with flagstaffs, and upon many other buildings.
