AMY JOHNSON’S TRIP TO AUSTRALIA SMALL FOOD SUPPLY Reed. 9.30 a.m. LONDON, Monday. Miss Amy Johnson, the intrepid gir: aviator, left Croydon this morning in brilliant sunlight on a lone flight to Australia. A small group of friends cheered her and hade her farewell. A few sandwiches and a packet of chocolate are all she carried in the way of food. She hopes to reach Vienna tonight. She has a parachute strapped to her back and a spare propeller lashed to the fuselage of the machine. Reed. 12.20 a.m. VIENNA, Monday. Miss Amy Johnson has arrived here.
