Veltch, Minister of Mines and Labour, returned from Rotorua by train yesterday. He left this morning by the daylight limited express for New Plymouth, and on Thursday will be present at the inauguration of boring by the New Zealand Coal-oil Company, leaving later fox* Wellington. Xhe Hon. G. W. Forbes, Minister of Lands, returned to Auckland last evening after a tour of North Auckland lasting ten days. Today he received a number of deputations in .the city. Mr. Forbes will also -meet Sir Apirana Ngc.ta, Minister of Native Affairs, this afternoon, and discuss with him consolidation and land settlement in the North Auckland district.
