TWO THEFT CHARGES

. REMANDS GRANTED Remands were made in two theft charges by Mr. F. K. Hunt. «.M., in the Police Court this morning. Sydney Xorden. aged 69, an ironmonger. was remanded to appear on May 9 on a charge of stealing a torch case, two packets of drawing pencils, two paint brushes .and a box of picture hangers, valued at 11s, the propertv of Mason. Struthers, Limited. Bail was set at £25.

A labourer, Edward Evans, aged 55, was charged with stealing 5s worth of timber, the property of Charles Ravenhall. He was remanded until May 13 and bail was allowed at £25.
