MAGISTRATE ILL
NELSON CASE STOOD OVER An attack of pleurisy compelled Mr. W. R. McKean, S.M.. to leave hi: official duties at the Court this morning and to remain at his residence. During the days of hearing the claim for £ 300 for damage allegedly done to a house during tenancy, brought by Mrs. Josephine Alice Wilson-Smith, widow, against the Hon. O. F. Nelson, merchant, of Samoa, Mr. McKean had occupied the Bench. The case had been adjourned for continued hearing this afternoon, hut it has now been stood over on account of Mr. McKean’s illness. Mr. McKean recently returned to Auckland after an extended tour abroad or of health reasons.
