Captain Hilton, of tho Canadian National Railways, accompanied by Mrs. Hilton, is paying a visit to Auckland. The Hon. W. A. Veitch, Minister of Labour, who left for Rotorua yesterday. Is expected to return to Auckland on Monday. Mr. J. A. McKenzie has been reelected president of the Taurunga Acclimatisation Society for tho 35th year in succession. Mr. Samuel Kennedy, of Stanley Bay, left for Wellington yesterday to join the Ulimaroa. on his way to England, America and the Contir.ent. The Hon. A. J. Stallworthy, Minister of Health, returned front Wellington today. He will address his constituents in the Eden electorate on Monday evening. Dr. W. Carew, Resident Commissioner at Rotuma. arrived in Wellington from England by the Mataroa. Accompanied by his family. Hr. Carew has spent a year on holiday abroad. He will leave for Suva by the Aorangi from Auckland. Mr. E. G. Martin, director of the Atlantic Union Oil Company, Emitted, arrived in Auckland this morning to connect with the Aorangi, which leaves Auckland on Monday. He will make a five months’ holiday tour of America. Mr. Harvey Turner, managingdirector of Turners and Growers, Limited, will leave by the Aorangi on Tuesday, on a three months’ business visit to Canada and the C T nited States.
