PROPERTY BETTERMENT AND COMPENSATION LOCAL BODIES’ APPEAL Press Associat ion GTO^v. Friday. Strong representations to have compensation ami betterment provisions included in an amendment to the TownAct. duri.na: the approaching session of Parliament were made to the Minister of Internal Affairs, the P. A. de la Perrelle, today, by the xecutive of the Municipal Association. Particular reference was made to the position of Wellington, the statement >eing made by the Mayor, Mr. G. A. 'I roup, that the absence of the betterment provision would cost the city hundreds of thousands of pounds.
