CONCERT CHAMBER May 9,10. —“ The New Morality,” funds for Obstetric Appeal. “Journey’s End," which has played in Sydney since January 3, has just ended Its season there and has gone to Newcastle. * * % Edith Taliafarro, the American comedy star, will open in Sydney on May 17 in “Let us 130 Gay.” A Maori will appear in Frank Harvey’s new play, “Cape Forlorn,” in London. This will he the first occasion on which a Maori character has appeared in a London play. “Sons of Guns,” one of the latest musical comedy successes of the stage in the United States, has been secured for Australian production by J. C. Williamson, Ltd. , * * Elsie Prince is returning to Australia to play the lead in “Mr. Cinders” for J.C.W. She last appeared in New Zealand under the Fuller banner in “No, No, Nanette,” “Lady Be Good” and “Mercenary Mary.” * * * Nat Madison, now Noel Madison, has been producing “Rope's End” in Los Angeles. This play by Patrick Hamilton was done as “Rope” in London. It is a thriller without the usual stage machinery. Alec Regan, who toured New Zealand with the Midnight Frolics company, is returning to the Dominion to take up a position with a Dunedin theatre. He is at presetn in South Africa, where he is ending a successful tour and will go to Adelaide, where liis marriage to Miss Dolly Hocking will take place. hopes to reach New Zealand in May.
