SILVER LACE ADDS BEAUTY TO IVORY BRIDAL GOWN

Haynes, of Mount Eden, was marj vied to William Francis, second son of 1 Nlrs. K. Charlton. ol’ Point Chevalier. I The Rev. Frank Power officiated at : the ceremony, and Miss L. Jew preJ sided at the organ. i ' The bride, who was given away by j her brother. Mr. C. J. Raynes, wore a i dainty frock of ivory georgette with } blinds of silver lace, and large ivory j taffeta lii bow.. The skirt, which had l several rows of tiny frills at the liem- | line, fell in graceful folds to the ankles ■at the back. Her veil <_»f embroidered I tulle formed a train and was held in place by a coronet of orange blossoms and eardrops, and she carried a shower bouquet of pink and white *■” y-'antlie-mums and asparagus fern. The matron ot nonour, Mrs. C. J. Raynes, wore peach blossom pink georgette with cape collar and large taffeta hip bow. From the hip yoke, the flounced skirt fell in graceful folds to the ankles in an uneven hemline. Her pale pink felt hat was trimmed with ribbon velvet, and she carried a shower' bouquet of pink chrysanthemums and maidenhair fern. The bridesmaid. Miss E. O’Neill, was similarly gowned in Ascot blue georgette, with felt hat trimmed with ribbon velvet to tone, and carried a shower bouquet of delphiniums, pink chrysanthemums and maidenhair fern. The little flower girl, Hois Parkin, niece of the bride, wore pink georgette and blue taffeta with a. cape collar, and a Hutch cap of silver lace. She carried an early Victorian posy. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr. 3A Charlton, brother of the bridegroom, Mr. C. B. Raynes, brother of the bride, acting as groomsman. At the reception, which was held in the Domain Kiosk, the bride's mother received her guests wearing black georgette and lace, with a citron felt haf, and carried a bouquet of red dahlias. The bridegroom’s mother wore a navy wool crepe ensemble with a hat to match, and she carried an autumntinted bouquet.
