TRAPPED IN FLAMES

LONDON, FridayFour. motorists, of whom three were women, were incinerated when a car was overturned on the Great North Road near Gladsmuir, where it skidded when it swung out to avoid a motorlorry. The car immediately took fire. The lorry driver and passing motorists heroically attempted to rescue the trapped women, hut the fierce flames drove them back. Within three minutes the occupants, with three fox terriers, perished. The women were: —Mrs. Eric I Beilby, of Edinburgh, and her twin daughters aged 18 years.
