TORNADO SWEEPS TOWN
DOCTORS WORK FRANTICALLY IN HALF DARK ELEVEN HUNDRED HOMELESS Reed. 2.20 p.m. NEW YORK, Friday. The main street of the town of Westby was destroyed by a tornado, leaving 1,100 people homeless. A tobacco warehouse, was lifted bodily from its foundations and slammed against a railway station. The failure of the electric light plant in Tekenen caused terrific suffering. Doctors worked by flashlights, assisting scores of injured.
