OPPOSITION PROMISED TC COAL BILL CONSERVATIVE THREAT British Official Wireless Rued. 12.10 l'.m. RUGBY, Thursday. The House of Lords agreed to the second reading of the Coal Mines Bill without a division. The Conservatives, however, intimated their intention of amending the Bill in the committee stage. Lord Thompson said the Government would have to take a very firm stand on the committee stage. The Bill was a measure of national importance and it was introduced to help the coal industry.
