PAPAKURABRAXCH The annual general meeting of the i Papakura Branch of the Plunket So- ! ciety took place yesterday afternoon, j -Mis. G. F. Johnstone, vice-president, presided. The annual report showed that the executive had been industri- i ous and enthusiastic in arranging several functions for the society's benefit and had accomplished a very creditable years work. The treasurer's balance sheet showed an increase of £4 over previous year's balance. The following officers were elected:—President, ?J rS * S' , Beeche 3" vice-presidents.’ v5 r ?- Walters, Mrs. C. C. Munro and Mrs. Martin; secretary. Miss Mavthea McConnell; treasurer, Mrs. C. S Beechey; committee, Mesdames W." A. Pavitt, Turner. E. A. TJrquhart. E. C Foote, W. Mcllraith, E, P. Hirst c' Y". ac’b'il. R. Xaylor, G. F. Johnstone, Stabler, F. -Haynes, J. Jarvie, C. Earl and T. Walker. Votes of thanks were given to Mrs. E. D. McLennan, retiring president, and Mrs. R. J. Willis, retiring vice-presi-dent. It was decided to rely on direct git ing instead of running entertainments for the benefit of funds. The annual subscription to be ss. Williams's report stated .hat new cases for the year totalled 2S and cases under supervision 58. Visits to homes lls. Visits to room, adult babie, and children. 1,396. The general health of the babies has been quite good: and except for colds there has been little sickness.
