FRUIT-GROWING
The methods of preliminary cultivation of the ground and of planting and the need of thorough .consideration of the site of the orchard, was stressed by Air. L. Paynter, senior Government orchard instructor, at a meeting of the Institute of Horticulture held in the Seddon Alemorial College last evening. Air. Paynter said that special care had to be given to the trees in their early years since that period played an important part in their later production. Ho urged that successful fruit growing depended not on single processes, but on attention to all the factors relating to the cultivation of the t trees. -
