SIX NEW APPOINTMENTS Press Association WELLINGTON, Thursday. The following appointments to the General Council of Education arc gazetted:—Messrs. D. T. Fleming and E. IT. Andrews, education boards of South Island; Air. J. E. Purchase, male public school teachers. South Island; Miss E. A. Chaplin, women public school teachers, South Island; Air. W. A. Armour, secondary and technical male teachers; Aliss N. E. Coad, secondary and technical women teachers. As the number of persons nominated in each instance did not exceed the number required, no election was necessary.
