SUCCESSFUL FIRST YEAR f rom Our Own Correspondent. OPOTIKI, Today. Mr. IT. R. ITogg was re-elected chairman at the annual meeting of the Bay of Plenty Power Board today. Good work has been done in the extension of the board’s operations, the chairman remarked, and the board had now completed its first year, with highly satisfactory results. The chairman’s honorarium v.as fixed at £l5O. The ITon. J. B_ Gow stated that the board was now paying the Government £12,000 annually for the supply of electricity. The board had originally guaranteed £4.000, and should now ask for a reduction in the cost. Mr. J. Dicker, the engineer, said he hoped to have all additional extensions completed before August 1.
