HERNE BAY BRIDE CARRIES .A SHEAF OF CHRYSANTHEMUMS
MAIDS IN TAFFETA FROCKS DOWDEN—PALTRIDGE Wearing a bridal frock of ivory embossed georgette, Mercia, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. J altridge, of Herne Bay, was married at St. Stephen’s Church yesterday evening to Frank Noel, second son of Mr. and Mrs. Bowden, of Ponsonby. The Rev. F. B. Barton performed the ceremony and Mr. Sinclair presided at the organ. The bride was given away by her father and wore her frock made with a close-fitting bodice and long floral skirt with uneven hemline. The yoke and deep hem of silk tulle appliqued with white roses, ller ivory tulle veil, which formed the train, was arranged on the head with three sprays and ear drops of orange blossoms, and she carried a sheaf of white chrysanthemums. Misses Alma and Iris Paltridge, sisters of the bride, were bridesmaids They were dressed alike in shrimp pink shot taffeta, with panels of frilled tulle on the long uneven skirt. Their head-dress was of pink tulle and silver leaves and they carried posies of pink and cream roses. All*. C. Bowden was best man and Mr. X. J. Paltridgo was groomsman.
A reception was held after the ceremony at Point Brin Tea Kiosk, where Mrs. Paltridge received the guests wearing a frock of black georgette, with an embossed georgette coatee and black hat. She carried a posy of ma uvo fl o wers.
Mrs. Bowden was in a dark green ensemble suit relieved with gold. She wore a hat to match and carried an autumn-shaded posy. Miss Bertha Paltridge was frocked in blue and gold shot taffeta under a green coat, with a hat to tone.
