BEACH PATROLMEN
AMATEUR STATUS PROBLEM Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, Today. The automatic disqualification of swimmers who have acted for a few weeks as beach patrolmen was discussed last evening at a meeting of the Canterbury Centre of the RoyaJ Life Saving Society. It was decided to take steps to urge that some modification of the rule be made, as at the present time those who had acted as paid patrolmen had to wait for two and a-half years before they could be restored to their amateur status.
