ABSCONDER FROM BAIL

THOUGHT TO HAVE LEFT COUNTRY " Press Association TIM ARE, Tuesday. When the grand jury returned a true bill today against George Arthur King on a charge of having obtained £3B 10s by false pretences, the Crown was unable to proceed with the prosecution, accused having absconded from bail, which had been fixed in the lower court at £l5O in his own recognisance and one surety of £l5O. The Crown Prosecutor said accused had absconded from bail and the police had every reason to believe that he had left the country. Counsel, therefore. would make application to have the bail estreated. The case was held over till the next session of the court.
