MAJESTIC

NEW PICTURES ON FRIDAY Gary Cooper, one of six featured players recently elevated to stardom by Paramount, makes liis bow as a star in all-dialogue filmisation of Sir James M. Barrie’s play, “The Old Lady Shows ITer Medals,” which is in its last days at the Majestic Theatre, under the title of “Seven Days Leave.” Beryl Nfercer, famous veteran character actress of the stage, Daisy Belmore, sister of Lionel Belmore, Mora Cecil and Tempe Piggott support Cooper in “Seven Days Leave.” The excellent supporting programme includes an all-talking sketch, a cartoon. a sound gazette, and views of the last Armistice Day service at the London Cenotaph. Some of the finest voices yet heard on the talking screen will be at the Majestic on Friday, when the First National Yitaphone picture “The Careless Age” wil be shown. The cast is headed by Douglas Fairbanks, jun., Loretta Young, Carmel Myers, Holmes Herbert and Kenneth Thompson. The story is laid in London and at Lake Como and is a highly dramatic story of a boy and two girls—one a sophisticated actress and the other an innocent “bystander” in the hectic love affair. A second big attraction will be presented in “Pointed Heels,” a charming light romance with William Parnell in the unusual role (for him) of a dfiatante. This picture is also a brilliant revue in teehnicolour.
