HORSE DESTROYED—JOCKEY INJURED
1\ T HEN she fell in the Nursery ** Handicap, Set Fair, the two-year-old filly by Autumn—Blue Sea, broke her neck. Set Fair was owned by Mr. E. Ross and trained at Avondale by W. Gough. Rider T. Metcalfe escaped injury. The apprentice jockey, J. G. Jones, from J. T. Jamieson’s stable, was not so fortunate when his mount. Valley, came to grief in the same event, the lad receiving slight concussion.
