BRIDE CARRIES LOVELY SHEAF OE EASTER LILIES

MAIDS IN RAINBOW COLOURS ATKINS—HARLEY On Wednesday evening, at the Methodist Church, Devonport. the marriage was celebrated of Elsie May, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harley, of Devonport, and William Arthur, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. L. Atkins, of Birkenhead. The Rev. J. F. Martin performed the ceremony. The church was beautifully decorated with Easter flowers by friends of the bride. Given away by her father, the bride wore a charming frock of ivory georgette with silver lace inlets on the corsage and the skirt which was of uneven hemline. A pink posy yn the shoulder gave a touch of colour, and from the waist was a trail of orange blossoms. From the shoulders hung streamers with tiny silver horse-shoes and wedding bells. Her beautiful brussels net veil was hand-embroidered, and was arranged on her head with a coronet of orange blossoms. She carried a sheaf of Easter lilies and asparagus fern. Three maids attended the bride. Miss «oyce Atkins was in a forget-me-not blue crepe de chine with a doubleflared skirt finished at the waist with a diamente buckle and ’a pretty shoulder posy. Her tulle head-dress matched her frock. Miss Kitty James wore a frock of pink moirette with a tulle skirt falling to an uneven hemline. From the shoulder hung silk velvet streamers in the same shade, caught in place with a shoulder posy, and she wore a head-dress of tulle in the same shade as her frock. Miss Myrtle Rosewarne, who wore an applegreen frock of crepe de chine with a flared skirt and a cape collar with shoulder streamers and a green tulle head-dress. They carried shower bouquets in shades of pink and lemon, with asparagus fern. Mr. Ted Atkins, brother of the bridegroom, was best man, and Mr. H. Harley and Air. W. Dean were groomsmen. A reception was held later at the \\ indsor Tea Rooms, where Mrs. Harley received the guests wearing a frock of navy blue crepe de chine relieved with fawn and finished with a dinmente buckle. She wore a felt hat to match. Airs. Atkins was frocked in navy blue crepe de chine trimmed with beige georgette, and a hat to tone. To travel in, the bride chose a frock of dove grey chenille velvet trimmed with marocain and a lido blue felt hat and coat.
