Couper, Miss J, Clemow, Miss Buckland and Aliss J« Ambury. * * * OVERSEAS VISITOR ENTERTAINED A very interesting morning was spent by the executive of the South Auckland Girl Guides on Wednesday, when they entertained Aliss Le Temp* lier, of London. Aliss Le Templier has for years been actively interested in this movement in England and has spent some time inspecting the methods in Australia and New Zealand. She told her hearers about the English, methods and pleasantly contrasted them with colonial ones. The movement had. she thought, made great headway during its short life in the colonies. Shaw’s five-act play “Pygmalion” was read by the Matangi Dramatic Club to an interested audience. Air. F. A. de la Mare was in the chair and the organiser of the local branch, Air. F. B. Stephens, explained to those present the series of lectures proposed for the season. The reading that followed was excellent. The cast was as follows: Higgins, ATr. W.
