HOCKEY BEGINS

MATCHES ON SATURDAY EIGHT SENIOR TEAMS The hockey season will begin at Remuera grounds and elsewhere on Saturday. At a meeting of the Auckland Hockey Association executive ias- - it was announced that 36 teani'had entered the various grades, an increase on last year s representation. It was decided to admit S wiervUfc St. Luke's, University A. #nivorsit’ Whippets. Mount Eden, >:*rth and Wesley to the senior competition. An effort is to be made to arrange a. midweek tourney between teams representing Training College, Navy Pacific Cable Board, Nomads and th* Auckland Grammar School, and anv other teams desiring to enter.
