MUSEUM ELECTION

LOCAL BODY MEMBERS Three local body members are to be elected to the council of the Auckland Institute and Museum on Monday. Twelve candidates have been nom mated. They are:—Mr. J. M. Melville, Mount Eden Borough Council; Mr. B. Brigham, Mount Albert Borough Council; Mr. J. Hislop, Devonport Borough Council, Mr. R. T. Michaels, Newmarket Borough Council; Mr. W. Ellis, Northcote Borough Council: Mr. I. J. Goldstine, One Tree Hill Road Board; Mr. H. T. < dements. Otahuhu Borough Council; Mr. F\ W. Mount joy, Onehunga Borough Council; Mr. W. R. T. Leighton, Henderson Town Board; Mr. T. R. Kmytheman, Papatoetoe Town Board; Mr. W. H. Potter, Waitemata County Council; Mr. F. M. Waters, Manukau County Council.

The Auckland City Council is to be represented by the Mayor, Mr. G. Baildon, and three councillors, and the remaining 11 members of the museum council will be elected at the annual meeting of the institute next month. Voting papers for Monday’s election are to be returned to Mr. Gilbert Archev, director of the museum. The election will be by post.
