CYCLIST CRUSHED BY CAR
ACCIDENT AT OAMARU Press Association OAMARU,. Sunday. A motor-car driven by Mr. George Baker collided with a motor-cycle ridden by Mr. Alexander Forbes this evening at a dangerous intersection. Mr. Forbes was thrown under the. car. and suffered a severe fracture of | the leg. He may possibly have other j injuries also. Forty Drinks a Day! An actor, a brilliant fellow, was rather fond of lifting the right elbow. A friend gave him good counsel. “You must watch yourself better.” he said. “Every time you want a drink, take lan apple instead.” “Laddie.” said the j actor, “you mean well, but think. What j human constitution could stand forty I apples a day?”
