CAR CRASHES OVER BANK

ACCIDENT ON MOUNTAIN IN THICK MIST TWO PASSENGERS INJURED From Our Own Correspondent NEW PLYMOUTH, Today. While climbing Mount Messenger, on the main road to Auckland, yesterday, a car driven by Mr. S. D. George, of Waitara, ran into a thick mist. The driver, lost his hearings and the car crashed over a bank and, after turning over three times, came to rest 40ft below the road. Miss R. Brough, who was thrown out before the car came to rest, received ci broken collarbone, wounds on the forehead and scalp injuries. Miss Rene George was crushed by the ear and received bruises on the hip. Mr. George, who remained in the car, and Miss Thelma George were uninjured Ail suffered from shock. In its descent the car lost its hood and received damage to the mud guards.
