A unique record of military service j is revealed by the decorations of Mr. | Edward Bregman, of Ngaruawahia, aud | family. ! At the Auzac Day celebrations at i Ngaruawahia Mr. Bregman was wear- | ing the Maori War medal, gained more than 60 years ago; Mrs. Bregman wore the mothers’ decoration of I the Victorian Government, and among the returned men on parade was a ! son, Mr. Theodore Bregman, wearing ; four decorations. in other districts there were four 1 sons and one grandson wearing similar decorations, making a total of five sons and one grandson and seven sets of medals covering three generations.
