Sir Hoy, running prominently throughout, ran home a length clear of Solution in the Dangar Handicap. Phar Lap further demonstrated his galloping ability by winning the A.J.C. Plato on the bit, and in doing so he clipped one second off the Australian and New Zealand record, and 6£sec from the race record. At one stage he was a furlong in front. Smith), 9.1, Davidson .. 3 These were the only starters. Phar Lap smartly ran to the front and thereafter Mas in front all the way. Passing the mile post he was a furlong clear of Donald and Xightmarch, and finished a winner by ten lengths. Time, 3.49£. FINAL HANDICAP Of £1,000; li miles BAWN-NA-GLAS, 7.4, Simpson .. 1 K A YALE r, 7.9, Elliott 2 LORASOX. 8.7, Cook 3 Sixteen started. When the field settled down Myarian bad charge, and led to the turn from Lorason, Taisho, Spearloan and Bawn-na-Glas. Getting a clear mn on the rails in the straight, Bawn-na-Glas came away, winning with ease by a length. Time, 2.33.
