AUCKLAND POWER BOARD ELECTION Wednesday, April 30th, 1930 To the Ratepayers of the Power Board Area The following Members of the present Board have been nominated for a further term and kindly solicit your vote and interest:— During the administration of the above members, the Board has grown rhpidly and is now by far the largest concern of its kind in the Dominion. In eight years the consumers have increased from 6120 to 40,593. The revenue from £108,568 to £650,284. By sound and careful management the Board has not only been placed in a strong financial position, but has made possible an all-round reduction in the price of electricity, of 33 1-3 per cent, off pre-war prices. Now that water power has arrived, and in order to get the maximum benefit, the position will have to be watched very closely for some time to come. Ratepayers, do not forget you have in this undertaking £2,768,798 invested, and as it is of a highly technical nature, and takes years to understand, you cannot go wrong in voting for the present members, who have rendered good service and proved their worth.
