DICKENS FELLOWSHIP MEETING

The fifth session of the Auckland Dickens Fellowship was opened on Thursday evening at the Cameo Club's rooms, Union Buildings. An address was given by the Rev. A. B. Chappell on a phrase from “Little Dorrit” concerning Mr. Merdle’s suicide—“ But not with ink.” The speaker was assisted by Mr. C. Kidson.

During the everting Mr. Chappell, who is the retiring president, inducted the newly-elected president, Mrs. Kenneth Gordon. At the next meeting Mrs. Gordon will deliver an address on "Dickens and rii-amo *»
