WHAT THEY REALLY LIKE TO EAT
THE MAJORITY OF HUSBANDS ARE NOT DIFFICULT TO PLEASE The woman who has difficulty in pleasing her husband in the matter of food is either a bad manager or the wife of an over-fastidious man. For the majority of men have very simple tastes. Find out if your husband prefers sweets or savouries. Once this is determined the rest is comparatively easy. REMEMBER— Ninety-nine men out of a hundred like bacon and eggs, and everyone of them likes this dish hot. Most men have a liking for potatoes baked in their jackets, especially if they are not stinted with the butter. Boiled puddings are popular with the majority of men. This is because only a very small percentage of them grow up past the schoolboy age. When making jam roll, however, don’t economise with the jam. Shepherd's Pie usually goes well, but the cook is advised not to make it too large to be consumed at one meal. Men quickly, grow tired of one kind of jam, so it is never wise to buy large quantities unless you are catering for a family. I fancy most women find that strawberry jam is the favourite with their menfolk —that and marmalade for breakfast. Don't imagine that kippers are not “good form.” Men usually love them. "Them,” for one is useless. Very few men like boiled fish. Fried fish, yes’ But, somehow, the boiled variety does not appeal.
