ROTORUA AIR PAGEANT

NO MISHAP TO CAPT. McGREGOR’S PLANE On Tuesday, The Sun received a Press Association message from Rotorua stating that Captain McGregor, at an air pageant in Rotorua, the previous day, had “in taking off hit a small mound and slightly damaged the undercarriage of his machine. The machine finished on its nose but the airman was unhurt.” On Thursday we received a telegram from Captain McGregor denying that any such mishap occurred. A similar message has been received from our own correspondent at Rotorua. In the circumstances, we can only express regret that such an error should have been made by the Press Association correspondent.
