PLAZA AND TIVOLI
“HAPPY DAYS” There are so many high spots in “Happy Days,” Fox Movietone’s gorgeous and lavishly produced all-talking song romance, and current sensation at both the Plaza and Tivoli Theatres, that selecting the highest is not easy. One of them, however, is the number presented by Victor McLaglen and Edmund Lowe, entitled "Vic and Eddie,” which is a travesty on their performance in ‘The Cock-eyed World.” The cast of 100 entertainers includes Will Rogers, Janet Gaynor, Charles Farrell, Waiter Catlett, George Jessel, William Collier, sen., Victor McLaglen, Edmund Lowe, El Brendel, Whispering Jack Smith, Marjorie White, Richard Iveene, Warner Baxter, George MacFarlane, Tom Patricola, Lew Brice, Ann Pennington, David Rollins, James J. Corbett, and George Olsen and his music. At the Tivoli Theatre only a second attraction is shown in "Why Bring That Up?” the merry talkie featuring the Two Black Crows. At the Plaza Theatre a particularly fine programme of bright short talkie featurettes is being shown. Ken Maynard rides into the romantic setting of old California in "Senor Americano,” Universal’s thrilling action picture, which is now at the Roxy Theatre.
