Wheat, Flour, and Pulse Wheat.—Cargoes opened steady, sellers asking an advance of 6d, but buyers were slow in responding. Parcels firmed 6d. Trading was small. AUSTRALIA’S DEBTS £10,000,000 LOAN MOOTED Reed. 9-5 a.m. SYDNEY, Friday. The Federal Government will shortly approach the Australian market for a £10,000,000 loan, which will be used to meet commitments falling due. HERD-TESTING RETURNS Prom Our Own Correspondent HAMILTON. Friday. The returns of the New Zealand Coeperative Herd-testing Association *how that 84.184 cows were tested in March, and that the average yield was 5781 b milk, and 27.581 b fat. The test was 4.7. For the corresponding month last year, 68,611 cows were tested, and they gave an average yield of 4UUb. milk, and 20.191 b. fat. The test was 4.9. The increase in the yield this year is due to the more favourable autumn and the continued growth of pasture.
