INDUCTION OF MINISTER
FUNCTION AT NORTHCOTE The induction ceremony of the Rev. "W. W. Avery, the newly-appointed minister to the Birkenhead-Northcote Methodist Church, took place last evening in St. Paul’s Methodist Church, Northcote. The Rev. E. Drake, of Epsom, performed the ceremony before a crowded congregation from all parts of the circuit. At a social in the adjoining school room after the ceremony Mr. C. H. Virtue, of Birkenhead, presided, and addresses of welcome were given by Mr. Allan Wilson, senior circuit steward, on behalf of the circuit, and Mr. Archibald Wilson, Glenfield, Mr. A. i-lacl field. Birkenhead, and Mr. H. Evans, Xorthcote. A musical programme included items by Mrs. Gunman, jun.. Mrs. A. E. Nile! y and members of the Sunday School Bible Class. Mrs. Avery returned thanks for the m£ny acts of kindness extended to herself ' and husband on their arrival and sincerely thanked all those present for the good wishes for their future work in the circuit.
