MUCH IMPROVED HEALTH NO PART IN BY-ELECTION The Prime Minister, Sir Joseph Ward, is very much improved iu health, but Is not sufficiently recovered to take part in the Parnell by-election campaign. This was the statement of the acting-Leader of the Government, the Hon. G. W. Forbes, on his arrival in Auckland from Rotorua last evening. “I have had a long conversation with Sir Joseph and I am glad to say he has made a surprising recovery,” Mr. Forbes said, “but his recovery is not sufficient to permit of his participation in the campaign.” Sir Joseph Ward will be 74 years of age on Saturday.
