DEATH-SENTENCE PRISONERS ESCAPE GAOL FIRE Reed. 9.5 a.m. VANCOUVER, Wed. J-»Y some irony of fate, all the prisoners who were awaiting execution in the “death row” escaped in the Columbus fire. Twenty-three murderers serving sentences varying from ten years to life were killed. A man named Michael, who is a born burglar, was the only prisoner who escaped from the prison yard during the excitement. He has not yet been recaptured.
